| Michelle Gianferrari | Signed on: Mon 07 Apr 2008 15:05:42 UTC The beachfront facilities should be open to all, it is city land that should not be used for commercial gain and opportunistic business people to exploit. there are numerous underprivileged school children who get to use the pools thorughout summer as their schools do not have pools of their own. It is amazing to see them having their fun in such a spectacular setting. These facilities housl be upgraded if there is money to be spent but there should not be a demolishen nor redevelopment to the exclusion of children like those currently using it every season. |

| Yau Tan Chung | Signed on: Mon 07 Apr 2008 13:19:40 UTC It is with concern just in the W-Cape where I have noted my access to open public spaces are diminishing, e.g. wetlands on the Cape Flats, the seafront, rivers and lakes deep in the southern parts of the peninsula and on the western side of Cape Town. This is definately one more place too many and I will do everything in my circle to advertise. |

| Japie Boonzaaier | Signed on: Mon 07 Apr 2008 10:36:30 UTC Ludicrous is the best word I can conjure up right now but doesn't come close to the anger I feel when reading about things like this. Are we the rainbow nation where you become "more" rainbow by having more money? Let's not forget that most of the lovely sea views in Kamps Bay and surrounding areas are already out of reach for most South Africans becuase they weren't fortunate enough to be able to retire from the UK to "sunny South Africa" with bags full of pounds who bought up all that property. I wish the developers everything of the worst and hope that this petition will change things. |

| Sandra de Vartek | Signed on: Mon 07 Apr 2008 09:51:47 UTC This proposed building will block all the sun, view and deprive many people of an open space from all walks of life. If approved it will only be enjoyed by a selected few. |

| Peter Hill | Signed on: Mon 07 Apr 2008 09:50:22 UTC This area should remain as it is. It is a valuable area fro all communities concerned. We have enough retail outlets and residential property without congesting the area even more. |
