| Fahmy Daniels | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:54:45 UTC Being a Cape Townian 'originally" i appreciate the beauty of the Mother City when i visit her. For 28 years i resided in Cape town and took the beauty for granted or could see it because it was there all the time, now that i reside in Johannesburg, my most forward looking holiday is my yearly trip to the Mother City...please dont distroy the beauty!!! |

| Jenny O'Hanlon | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:54:37 UTC I use the Seapoint promenade and swimming pool extensively in the early mornings. I am always amazed by the number of people that use this area for recreational purpose such as excercising, walking dogs, reading and just enjoying the space. To take this away from such a densely populated area is insensitive and would spoil the entire Seapoint area. Must be stopped. |

| Daniel Brownell | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:49:23 UTC They tore down Club I-land, quite rightly. And it wasn't so bad with Wimpy's, but its better now without anything there. I know the area well. It's not worth it. |

| Richard Currie | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:48:26 UTC This would be like building on Table Mountain!!! We must maintain some nature in life for all walks of life to exist in otherwise we may as well all move to Jozi!!! |

| Richard Timms | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:42:58 UTC Public Open Space is a precious heritage asset and it should be preserved for the benefit of all members of the public in perpetuity. This is particularly true for the POS in such a special location alongside the Sea Point Pavilion. No rezoning should be allowed unless it is unarguably in the interest of the general public and it receives support from a clear majority of the public. Richard Timms |

| Fairuz | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:19:33 UTC ex Capetonian - a definite NO - i love to picnic there and in the evenings it's a quick drive to go to relax and unwind. |
| |
| Simone Esau-Bailey | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:18:47 UTC I love walking on the promenade, breathing in the fresh ocean breeze and catching some sun! It would be such a waste to replace all of this with buildings, why? For financial gain? What about all the people who love exercising, picnicing and swimming there! Definitely shouldn't happen! |
| |
| Marc Descroizilles | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 13:12:08 UTC I certainly object to private development of the promenade! It must remain public |

| Sandra Ladas | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 12:43:27 UTC I strongly object to this rezoning of the Promenade and especially around the Pavilion area - this will destroy Cape Town's beauty and especially along the Sea Point Promenade. The Pavilion is an icon of Sea Point which is enjoyed by locals and national/international visitors alike. PLEASE STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING!!! |
| |
| Sarah Brown | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 12:40:22 UTC The Seapoint pavilion is a special place for all Capetonians, and provides the quickest access to amazing sea views when you're living and working in the city. Such developments should not be allowed, and more awareness should be brought about this issue (media, etc.) |
| |
| Stanton Williams | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 12:37:55 UTC Rezone the crime and drug use. How can any development not affect the community or the people living there? Also, we do not have electricity to power these developments. Leave Seapoint the way it is and the way people love it. |

| Lisa Pederson | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 12:36:44 UTC I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Seapoint! It was my first "home" in Cape Town and remains very close to my heart. One of the very best things to do on a Sunday afternoon (or better yet, in the late afternoon after work, just before sunset) is to go for a walk down the Seapoint promenade, appreciating the beauty of God's Creation, in this, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. |

| Nico Gevers | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 12:26:14 UTC I enjoy the option of running on the promenade in Sea Point and consider it one of the best places in the cape to enjoy some fantastic scenery. | Sonja Theart | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 11:25:01 UTC We are all sick and tired of all these silly changes. I can't show my kids anymore beautiful things or places in and around Cape Town, without paying a fortune to get in or just to have a peek. If they want to keep the element out then the help of the SAP should be called in. |

| Pia Ferraris | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 11:14:28 UTC Even though we live in PARKLANDS - we enjoy spending family time on the promenade. An afternoon kicking football in the park make the trip to Seapoint a pleasure. |

| Elsa Glenn | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 11:02:31 UTC Please don't let the land go to private and commercial sectors. It's one of the most cross cultural places in the city, where so many kinds of people, local and tourists, mix and appreciate the city. It has enormous history. Selling this land would be a tragedy. |
| |
| Dean Atkins | Signed on: Mon 28 Jan 2008 10:44:39 UTC This simply cannot happen. I once thought of the Waterfront as my local shopping centre, but because of the greed for tourist dollars, my wife and I prefer to fully support the local business community in Sea Point. |
