| Lorinda van Niekerk | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 16:48:43 UTC We run on the promenade every morning, enjoying the sea and the fresh air. That is how it should stay!!! |
| |
| Estelle van Niekerk | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 16:43:33 UTC It would be a shame if this area would be rezoned. I use it almost everyday to jog, walk or just escape from city hustle and bustle. |

| Elmari Swart | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 16:06:05 UTC We use it to ESCAPE from the crowded shopping malls, hotels and other developments. Save our promenade!!! |
| |
| Richard Bryant | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 16:01:51 UTC As a principle I am not against development. However, it is a very dangerous prescident to allow development of existing public open space, particularly one which has a long history of being enjoyed by all walks of life. |

| Maré Norval | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:34:03 UTC I think it is the most horrible idea ! There are so many other areas where shopping centres can be erected ! Keep out beautiful beach area as is. It is after all a pleasant place for all ! |

| Antonie Robertson | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:30:48 UTC As someone who grew up in Cape Town and visited Seapoint with my family as a kid I feel it should be preserved for future generation to enjoy. I have many fond memories of days spent there as I am sure a great number of other people also have. |
| |
| Pete Ethelston | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:30:44 UTC My family walk this promenade daily and given that we lift in an apartment this green belt is the only garden that they have. We love the way it is shared with all races and is one of the few places in the areas where all cultures really mix. |
| |
| Ian Woodiwiss | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:28:03 UTC I'm appalled to hear that this tasteless subject has again reared it's head, and find the governmental bodies to be lax in supporting public opinion, a position that they were voted-in to do. Is all politics about money alone? |
| |
| Beverley Cooper | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:27:48 UTC I think it is outrageous to allow development along the one uninterrupted promenade available to the public. Visitors have said that it is reminiscent of the beautiful promenade in Nice which has never been threatened by developers as the French will not stand for it. |

| Abe van der Westhuys | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:21:26 UTC I frequent the sea point pool and think that it would be a shame to loose such a landmark to yet another devolpment in the allready over developed beach front |
| |
| Jacques | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:21:12 UTC These devlopments should NOT be allowed. These areas should be kept as they are. Do NOT succumb to undue presure and financial gain |

| janene | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:06:19 UTC I think it is shocking that we have not yet learnt from the overdevelopment of many golf courses all over the country the harm that this do the environemnt and the community. Furtehr to this is one of the prime spots frequented by tousists from all over the world. We will be hard pressed to explain how this has disapeared under the priority of luxury deprtaements. Lastly this will not help to alleviate the need for housing in this country on for the the middle calass to poor parts of our communities. |
