| janene | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 15:06:19 UTC I think it is shocking that we have not yet learnt from the overdevelopment of many golf courses all over the country the harm that this do the environemnt and the community. Furtehr to this is one of the prime spots frequented by tousists from all over the world. We will be hard pressed to explain how this has disapeared under the priority of luxury deprtaements. Lastly this will not help to alleviate the need for housing in this country on for the the middle calass to poor parts of our communities. |

| Hanneke Swanepoel | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 14:50:11 UTC We love the promenade and regularly go there to relax and enjoy the beautiful views, as do 100's of other people. Locals & tourists. Today and in the future. This is a very special part of our city. To deface it with yet another ugly, badly built, modern monstrosity is a sin! |

| Nicky Ryan | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 14:25:35 UTC Keep it open for the public. With so much commercial development already taking place, to take away public space is just greed. |

| Willow Constantine | Signed on: Mon 21 Jan 2008 12:13:28 UTC As an expatriate of the States, I have enjoyed the Sea Point swimming pool and promenade as a major feature in Cape Town. It is a great meeting place for people, an opportunity for south africans of all colours to mix and meet and enjoy the great outdoors. The cost of 'devleoping' this space could never be reconciled with mere rands. |
