Now please publsh a photo & background of the this property developer that is prepared to spoil our heritage and precious space for a profit. We want to know more about him, where he lives and what he looks like. |

| Lisa Marsden | Signed on: Fri 27 Feb 2009 13:16:47 UTC I am totally against the development on the Sea Point Promenade / area. It will only benefit the developers and those who they have in their pockets. Nothing these days is done openly or correctly. We have enough ugly shopping centres. We dont need anymore especially on our coastline |

All our open spaces are being \"eaten up\" and only these people benefit from it! |

A place to breathe and enjoy our beautiful city. That is what Cape Town is about - NATURE. Live up to that. |

| Sarah Espi-Sanchis | Signed on: Tue 17 Feb 2009 09:50:32 UTC As someone who has studied urban planning in cities lke Barcelona, where hundreds of thousands of euros were spent DEMOLISHING buildings in order to create PUBLIC SPACE to make the city better to live in and more internationally appealing, I am shocked and mortified that city and province would be willing to have our prize asset of the promenade trampled on by developers with yet another mall with access to the moneyed. There is such a wonderful community spirit of dog walkers, joggers, familiies on that strip and I support whole-heartedly all efforts to save it. |

| Tim Holmes | Signed on: Thu 06 Nov 2008 13:38:34 UTC Nothing should be developed on the sea side of the promenade or beach road - period - so what is currently there is more than enough. We can only destroy the asthetics of our city once, then it's too late. Will this, or any other development, pass the 50 year rule i.e. in 50 yrs time, if you look back at today, did you make the right decision? |
